Loeb Laboratory Building Renovation

Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) is an internationally recognized not-for-profit research institute for environmental, biomedical, and biological sciences. The MBL is the oldest private marine laboratory in the country.

The Loeb facility was renovated to create a new campus hub and promote collaboration between students and faculty. This was achieved by creating areas for serendipitous interaction. These areas included new lounges, kitchenettes, training centre, and centralized microscopy facility. In addition, the laboratories were upgraded with modern building systems, new laboratory furniture, and interior finishes. Interior windows were strategically placed to borrow daylight and allow for views into the labs.
