Montefiore Medical Center SATP Clinic
The new Substance Abuse Treatment Program Clinic houses the Department of Social Medicine’s administrative offices and provides space for the current OASAS sponsored neighborhood substance abuse programs. It includes an ambulatory primary care clinic, a methadone maintenance program, a New Directions program for former users, as well as continuing care therapy and treatment programs for neighborhood clients. Adjacent to the elevated train line along Jerome Avenue, the building is designed to fit comfortably within the low-rise commercial streetscape. It is made of durable contemporary materials, including polished and rough CMU, corrugated and smooth steel panels, glass curtain wall, and aluminum storefront components. Its west facing location provides visibility/natural light to the interior spaces.
